Joseph W. Dunlap, M.D., F.A.C.S. graduated from Presbyterian College. He received his medical degree from the University of Tennessee Medical Unit, and he is a member of Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society. He completed his internship at Parkland Memorial Hospital in Dallas, Texas and his orthopaedic residency at the Campbell Clinic/University in the Tennessee orthopaedic program in Memphis, Tennessee.

Dr. Dunlap is Board Certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery and is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons.

Dr. Dunlap has practiced orthopaedic medicine in Florence for more than twenty years. A Fellow of American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, Dr. Dunlap specializes in care of the hip and knee with expertise in arthroscopic surgery, reconstructive surgery and joint replacement.

Dr. Dunlap has previously served as President of the Medical Staff of the McLeod Regional Medical Center and Bruce Hospital (now Carolinas Hospital System) and as a former president of the South Carolina Orthopaedic Association.
